Market Fresh Pizza planning store in Belleville

I drove by yesterday.  The building seems to be coming along quite nicely, but it looks like they still have a little ways to go until they'll be open.

Another pizza place appears to be heading toward Belleville as well. The city’s Economic Development and Annexation Committee recently approved a plan to remodel a building at 801 W. Main St. to house Market Fresh Pizza. Proprietor Kevin Kobishop will get a $3,400 sales tax rebate on building materials, and the city will fix the sidewalk near there. Stay tuned.

Papa Vito's coming to Belleville

The article below is from the Belleville News Democrat.  I drove by the other day and they now have a sign up.  I've heard they intend on being open by December 1st.

Jerry Geoppo is bringing his pizzeria to his hometown. Papa Vito’s Pizza has been operating in Waterloo for 17 years. A franchise has been operating in O’Fallon since 2007.

Now, Geoppo has now set his sites on a vacant building in downtown Belleville, at 318 E. Washington St., a historic building where The Pasta House and Washington Street Grille once occupied. He is still working to secure a liquor license with the city and hopes to open by December, if not sooner.

Geoppo said the Belleville restaurant will serve pizza as well as pasta and will include a banquet room and full bar. He envisions the new locale to become the flagship of his business. He also wants to open five more Papa Vito’s restaurants in the next three years.
